It’s been awhile since I have been on here and made time to write! We will jump back to how I got to where I am today but for now I want to talk about the present! What has kept me from being able to jump on here and get some writing in? Well, when I was released to go back to work, after some long discussions with my boyfriend. We decided that getting out of social work, my long time career would be best for now. I instead started part time as a substitute teacher. Here I am 2 years later finishing up my transition to teaching program, having taught full time for the last 2 years 🙂

Oh did I mention I am also getting my masters is special education also! Yep, needless to say when I returned to see my drs for the 1st time after they released me their jaws dropped. Pretty sure the one said, “we told you that you could work, not change your career, go to school, are you sure you can handle all this?”

Why am I telling you all this?? Listen…I was millimeters from death, told I couldn’t drive, couldn’t shower unless someone was home. I’ll be honest it wasn’t safe for me to shower, just nearly passed out one day after showering. If I can recover and build my heart back up. Have a stroke at 14 and still earn 2 degrees. I know you can do whatever it is you put your mind to! You have what it takes and I know you are capable!
